During my time in High School, I discovered my passion for programming
in an introductory coding class. It was there that I first encountered
HTML and CSS - my gateway into the world of coding. Little did I know,
this would spark a lasting love for Computer Science and the art of coding.
After graduating, I immediately pursued my education at Georgia Southern
University, where I deepened my passion for coding by learning Java.
Compared to HTML and CSS, Java was a challenge at first, but with persistence,
I became fluent in the language. This enabled me to contribute to various
projects, including developing key parts of a group project for a Restaurant
Management System.
My proficiency in Java allowed me to quickly pick up additional programming
languages, and every day I find myself growing stronger in my skills. More
recently, I've made a security bot to help defend an online community by
identifying and stopping phishing attempts, detecting malicious behavior,
and automating the moderation process.
I am always adding additional skills to my skillset and I am confident that
my Computer Science journey is only just beginning. I look forward to
contributing to the field in a meaningful way.
Outside of programming, I have a variety of other interests. I am an
experienced saxophone player, having played for over eight years, and I
also enjoy writing fictional stories. In fact, I’ve written a novel that I
hope to publish in the near future.
I am a highly motivated individual with a deep passion for programming and
problem-solving. I continuously seek to improve my skills and broaden my
knowledge, always eager to take on new challenges. Whether it's developing
innovative software or pursuing my personal interests, I approach everything
with dedication and a strong drive to succeed.
